Ternate, 19 Desember 2025 — Yayasan Bumi Toala Indonesia (YBTI) bersama Balai Pelestarian Kebudayaan (BPK) Wilayah XXI melaksanakan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dalam rangka Kajian Dampak Cagar Budaya (KDCB) atau Heritage Impact Assessment (HIA) Benteng Kalamata. Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari rangkaian kajian yang bertujuan memastikan bahwa rencana rehabilitasi dan penataan kawasan Benteng Kalamata dilaksanakan secara terukur, bertanggung jawab, serta selaras dengan prinsip pelestarian cagar budaya. FGD diselenggarakan pada Jumat, 19 Desember 2025, bertempat di Ballroom Kayu Merah Waterboom, Kota Ternate, dan menjadi forum strategis untuk memvalidasi temuan sementara kajian sekaligus menyelaraskan pandangan antar pemangku kepentingan terkait potensi dampak fisik, visual, sosial, dan lingkungan dari rencana rehabilitasi Benteng Kalamata. Latar Belakang Pelaksanaan Kajian Benteng Kalamata merupakan salah satu cagar budaya penting di Kota Ternate yang memiliki nilai sejarah, arsitektur, dan lanskap budaya yang tinggi. Keberadaannya di kawasan pesisir menjadikan benteng ini tidak hanya strategis secara historis, tetapi juga rentan terhadap berbagai ancaman, antara lain abrasi pantai, hempasan gelombang laut, dinamika hidrologi, serta tekanan aktivitas perkotaan dan pariwisata. Seiring dengan rencana rehabilitasi dan penataan kawasan, diperlukan Kajian Dampak Cagar Budaya sebagai instrumen untuk mengidentifikasi, menganalisis, dan memitigasi potensi dampak terhadap keaslian (authenticity), integritas struktur, dan nilai penting (Outstanding Value) Benteng Kalamata. Maros, 29 November 2025 – Pemerintah Kabupaten Maros menggelar Festival Literasi Maros 2025 di Creative Centre Perpustakaan Daerah pada 17–19 November 2025. Festival ini menjadi ruang berkumpulnya para pegiat literasi, guru, komunitas, pelajar, dan masyarakat untuk merayakan budaya literasi melalui berbagai agenda seperti alomba mewarnai, gelar wicara literasi, pertunjukan seni, hingga peluncuran buku. Bupati Maros, Chaidir Syam, menyampaikan bahwa festival ini merupakan momentum penting untuk memperkuat ekosistem literasi di daerah. Menurutnya, kegiatan ini bukan hanya seremoni, tetapi wadah untuk menampilkan kreativitas dan karya literasi masyarakat Maros. Ia juga mengungkapkan capaian membanggakan Kabupaten Maros dalam indeks kegemaran membaca yang mencapai 90,94 persen, kategori sangat tinggi berdasarkan penilaian Perpustakaan Nasional RI. Capaian tersebut merupakan hasil dari berbagai gerakan literasi seperti program Bunda Baca, pojok baca desa, dan kegiatan komunitas yang terus digalakkan. MAKASSAR – 7 November 2025. Yayasan Bumi Toala Indonesia secara resmi memulai Proyek Digitalisasi Warisan Budaya Benteng Rotterdam pada hari Kamis (6/11). Proyek ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari Perjanjian Kerja Sama (PKS) antara Direktorat Pengembangan Budaya Digital, Kemendikbudristek, dan Yayasan Bumi Toala Indonesia. Proyek ambisius yang akan berjalan selama 30 hari kerja ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan arsip digital presisi tinggi dan media edukasi modern dari salah satu ikon sejarah terpenting di Indonesia Timur. Pelaksanaan proyek didahului oleh Lokakarya Koordinasi Awal (Kick-Off Meeting) yang intensif pada hari Rabu (5/11). Pertemuan ini mempertemukan seluruh pemangku kepentingan utama, termasuk perwakilan dari Balai Pelestarian Kebudayaan (BPK) Wilayah XIX, Museum dan Cagar Budaya (MCB) Wilayah Sulawesi & Maluku, Narasumber Ahli Arkeologi dan Sejarah, serta Tim Kerja (Pelaksana Proyek) dari Yayasan Bumi Toala. Narasumber Arkeologi menyoroti fakta-fakta menarik, seperti pemilihan lokasi Rotterdam oleh VOC karena stabilitas lanskap padasnya, jauh mengungguli Somba Opu. Juga dibahas transformasi dari Benteng Ujung Pandang (era Tunipallangga, 1545) yang awalnya diperkuat gundukan tanah dan kayu, hingga menjadi benteng batu berpola “Penyu” yang kemudian diadopsi dan dimodifikasi oleh VOC mulai tahun 1670-an. “Kami juga berdiskusi tentang temuan arkeologis seperti sistem instalasi pipa keramik kuno dan 7 sumur yang membuktikan ketersediaan air tawar di dalam benteng, persis seperti catatan VOC,” ungkap seorang perwakilan tim teknis. Fungsi Masa Lalu dan Pemanfaatan Masa Kini Salah satu arahan terpenting dalam lokakarya datang dari BPK Wil. XIX sebagai user utama. Disepakati bahwa output proyek ini tidak hanya menceritakan sejarah masa lalu, tetapi harus secara eksplisit menampilkan fungsi dan pemanfaatan benteng di masa kini. “Sesuai arahan BPK, kami ingin mengemas bagaimana media digital ini dapat memperlihatkan apresiasi publik terhadap benteng saat ini. Publikasi akan menyeimbangkan fungsi masa lalu dan fungsi masa kini, sehingga masyarakat teredukasi tentang bentuk-bentuk pemanfaatan yang bisa dilakukan di cagar budaya,” jelas Manajer Proyek. Hasil diskusi juga menyepakati bahwa narasi konten akan dimulai pada era VOC, saat nama “Fort Rotterdam” pertama kali diberikan, mengingat keterbatasan data visual akurat dari era Benteng Ujung Pandang. Salah satu target utama yang paling ditunggu publik adalah memprioritaskan eksposur digital pada bagian-bagian dalam ruangan yang saat ini tertutup untuk umum. Dalam 30 hari ke depan, tim akan bekerja intensif di lapangan untuk mengakuisisi data yang akan diolah menjadi Model 3D, Gambar Teknis 2D (DWG), Peta Tematik Drone, Video Walkthrough, dan Virtual Tour interaktif.
